Through over 110 local government funded projects and 190 industrial cooperation projects totaling over RMB 110 millions, a number of research achievements including more than 40 national patents have been successfully transferred or commercialized. Representative achivements include those on optimization and control of urban water supply/drainage system, tide monitoring of Qianjiang river, intelligent control of sea-water purification, automation of plastic garbage conversion process, automated winding machine and industrial robots. The innovation in bio-3D prints have been commercialized and used in many hospitals nation-wide. The process control and optimization for steel production line, an award winning project, has significantly improved the profit of Yonggang Group in Jiangsu province.

3) International recognition in research in complex dynamic control systems

In complex system ****yses, filtering, control and optimization: the discipline has achieved outstanding results in stability ****yses of complex system, filtering, controller designs and distributed optimization, has granted a number of national major and key research programs as well as the national nature science funding for distinguished young scientists. Over 150 papers have been published in SCI journals, such as IEEETAC/TFS/TNNLS and Automatica. Among these, near 20 papers have been ranked as the extended ESI highly cited papers. Moreover, 30 of these papers are in top 10%, 17 in top 5%, 8 in top 1% and 4 papers are top 2 and 2 papers are top-cited papers among all papers published in respective journals on annual basis. These results have been awarded the first prize of Provincial and ministerial level natural science award twice and their applications have been awarded the first prize of National and Provincial Department of Science and Technology Progress Award 4 times. Professor Alexey Bobtsov of Saint-Peter**urg National Research University of Information Technologies, Machanics and Optics, Russia, highly recognized our research achievements in the nonlinear control theory and has collaborated with the discipline since 2015, achiving several leading outcomes.

4) Significant research in information fusion with important defense and civilian applications

Aiming at key scientific problems in the cooperative detection and recognition, guidance and tracking, control and combat of complex targets in space, air and sea, as well as the data based fault modeling, closed-loop fault propagation and diagnosability ****ysis, and reliability evaluation in fault diagnosis, fault prediction and fault to lerant control of complex systems, the discipline has received many grant supports including more than 10 National/Defense major/key programs.
